Marc Scibilia – “90’s”

Back with what is probably his catchiest, most nostalgic track yet, Marc Scibilia’s “90’s” will certainly be on repeat.

Marc Scibilia has the kind of voice that stands out. It has a way of being unique and comforting; this is especially true in "90’s". The lyrics and instrumentals give off a special feeling that many people will be able to connect with.

It’s hard not to long for the simpler days swirling through your memories, while thinking about your past hopes and expectations, and comparing that to life now. This track is full of excellently written reminiscent moments.

“I know that the best ain’t behind me. But I’ll always be a child of the 90’s”

I first heard “90’s” when I sold merch for Marc at Café Du Nord in San Francisco last Spring. When I got home, I scoured the internet to see if this was a release I missed, or a cover of a song I didn’t know. Nothing. You can imagine my excitement when I found out it was finally being released.

Here is a short clip of Marc Scibilia performing “90’s” live:

On social media, Marc explained the process of “90’s” and how it has taken years for it to be ready: “[…] produced 11 different times. Rewritten 3 times. Has almost come out 3 times & almost been recorded by 2 different artists.” Considering the incredible end result, I’d say it was worth it.
