Cami Petyn has such unique pop/jazzy vocals that immediately grasp your attention, and combining this with the edgier sound creates something truly dynamic. Poetically written, the message behind the track is something that many people will be able to connect with and relate to.
“Static” is about self-doubt battling against self-confidence. It expresses the sensation of having a maze within your mind, where your thoughts are creating all of these ups, downs, twists, and turns. Petyn describes it as, “My anthem to overcoming anxiety”.
